Hp printing products - hp installer crashes during wireless configuration on a mac running os x v10.9 mavericks issue if you attempt to install or update the hp software on mavericks using the software cd that came with your printer or with a previously downloaded driver, the hp installer crashes.. Added a hp network printer and that worked fine. probably some incompability between vista and the printer drivers. maybe you can install the drivers on its on instead of using the add printer wizard.. In some cases, the installer does not crash but the printer is not listed in the devices on the setup screen. note: this issue only occurs with the new os x 10.9 mavericks when the printer is connected to the mac over a wired or wireless network connection, and when the hp installer/software is labeled on the cd as supporting earlier versions os x 10.7 or os x 10.8..
